Adult Fellowship see all adult ministries
Lancers – Second Fridays of Each Month: A purely socializing event at parishioners’ homes, beginning at 6:30pm. Potluck, BYOB. Between 50-70 usually in attendance.
Flying Solo – Third Fridays of each month. Single Women of all ages; usually meet at a restaurant or home for dinner, discussion
The Brotherhood of St. George – A national Episcopal ministry for and to men and boys, for fellowship, study and service. Regular meetings usually on second Wednesdays of the month, with dinner and study, called “Bible, Burgers and Beer:”
Special Events:
Friends of Music – Musical Events of interest to the community at large; usually guest artists with reception following. Open to the community.
The Parish Book Club – Meets once a month at the church Library on the second Tuesday at 7 pm.
Adult Education & Spirituality
Adult Education – Usually two offerings every Sunday morning ~ including Inquirers’ Classes; preparation for the sacraments with the clergy: Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage, Sunday morning liturgical ministries. See Education page
The Daughters of the King – A national Episcopal organization for women of all ages. Meets usually on the second Sundays of the month in the afternoon, followed by the Daughters’ participation in the evening Eucharist, with emphasis on healing, followed by Wine and Cheese reception for all present. The Daughters also remember daily, by name, along with the clergy, those who are listed on the parish prayer list.
Education for Ministry – A national program, meets locally once a week. In depth curriculum, mirroring seminary level theological formation.

Episcopal Youth Community (EYC) See EYC page Teens ages: 12 thru 18. Regular Meetings: Meet weekly at 4 - 7 pm at the church (Jr class 4-6pm; Sr class 5-7pm; classes at 11:15 am Sunday mornings
Special Events:
- Winter: Mission Trip Fundraisers; Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper; Happening Youth Retreat
- Spring: St. George Day Slaying of the Dragon; Youth Sunday
- Summer: Mission Trip
Sunday School and Family Ministry (see Children & Family Ministry) Classes for all ages Sunday mornings at 11:15am
- Welcome Wednesday Family Nights: 5 -8 pm Evening Prayer, Children's Choir rehearsals, Homework session, Discussion Groups for parents, Dinner and Compline
- Preparation for the Sacraments: The Rector meets regularly with those preparing for the Baptism of children, Instruction for Holy Communion and Confirmation. Training for young people to help Sunday mornings as Acolytes.
- Adult Education Forums with special topics for parents

- Summer: Vacation Bible School; St. Swithun’s Day Water Festival
- Fall: Blessing of the Animals; Trunk or Treat Family Cook Out (Halloween for very young children)

Outreach See all Outreach ministries
Antiques Arcade –The parish has raised over $500K over the years from the yearly Antiques Arcade, one of the premier antiques shows in the south. These proceeds go almost entirely to local charities. The parish also sponsors the St. George’s Kitchen in La Campaña, GTO, Mexico, through an organization called Feed the Hungry. Our Thanksgiving Offering typically supports this ministry which provides 100 children every school day with their only hot meal of the day. Parishioners frequently visit San Miguel. The Parish for years has supported Emmanuel Episcopal Center, Memphis, partners with local schools, and sponsors Operation Warmth and Operation Joy in the late fall. See Antiques Arcade page.
The Art Gallery – Shows open with a Reception; exhibits change about every two months. See Art Gallery page.

|  | |  | Columbarium and Memorial Gardens See Columbarium
The Columbarium Committee provides oversight and maintenance of the St. George's Columbarium and Memorial Gardens. St George's maintains a columbarium and Memorial Gardens at the side of the church near the entrance. The gardens are designed to provide a restful and quiet place for solace or meditation.
